{"id":200,"date":"2019-10-24T12:11:40","date_gmt":"2019-10-24T12:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/trains.matt5lot10.com\/?p=200"},"modified":"2019-10-24T12:11:40","modified_gmt":"2019-10-24T12:11:40","slug":"field-trip-erics-trains-2019-reprise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trains.matt5lot10.com\/?p=200","title":{"rendered":"Field Trip: Eric&#8217;s Trains (2019 reprise)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Fall marks the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piedmontpilgrimage.com\/\">NMRA Piedmont Pilgrimage<\/a>, a tour of Atlanta model train layouts.  Lydia and I attended <a href=\"http:\/\/ericstrains.com\">Eric Siegel<\/a>&#8216;s open house last year in 2018 and had a blast and I couldn&#8217;t pass up an opportunity to see the layout again. Eric is pretty famous in the O Gauge Model Railroading world, as he produces a popular <a href=\"http:\/\/youtube.com\/ericstrains\">YouTube series<\/a>, which includes tips and tricks as well as reviews of the latest trains and accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn&#8217;t have the opportunity to talk too much to Eric as he&#8217;s busy with his open house, but I did get to bask in a bit of his YouTube fame in the background of one of Eric&#8217;s live streams during the open house, which you can see here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/19NMUs87u3Y\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>I took a few more pictures this year of the layout, to share as well as to gather ideas for our layout.
